Hollyann Carroll is one of the best real estate salespeople at PSR Brokerage in Muskoka, Ontario. This article will show her successful journey into achieving her dreams and the failures that shaped her to work harder.
Holly is a former model and winner of Miss Canada Tourism 2017-18. Her reign taught her how much she enjoyed helping and returning to the community which later manifested into her real estate job as she loves to help out those seeking their dream abode and enable them to make financially suitable decisions. Throughout her career, Holly has had some unusual experiences which she believes taught her a great deal.
“I had a very hard time with the real estate exam. I even thought about giving up at times. But thank god I didn’t. I had a very good support system and something inside kept telling me that to keep pushing and I would be very successful in this industry. I’ve made my share of mistakes at the beginning of my career. Selling cottages is not like selling condos or your run-of-the-mill detached homes.
I once was acting as a buyer rep in a transaction and the cottage had a septic tank. I forgot to include in the clauses for the sellers to pump out the septic tank before closing. This is not a big deal but should be added. My clients weren’t very impressed and their words were “I’m not buying a house full of shit”( haha). Needless to say, I fixed the problem right away and will never make that mistake again.”
Holly believes that these seeming failures taught her a lot about the business. Apart from a few setbacks, she further shares about her success as a philanthropist and improvising her real estate career.
“I am actively involved in a local charity called Gravenhurst Against Poverty helping the hurt and homeless. I am a member of the Karebear Community which helps so many organizations a year including personal missions that allow people to help others in their community while traveling abroad. I am also one of the “Queens of Muskoka” a branding I created that is beginning to catch on and spread like wildfire. Amanda Gaeta and I have started this together and in the future hope to help and bring on more women alike.”
