Being homeless for a part of his life, Matthew knows the value of money. He has struggled his way from the bottom to becoming the owner of a multi-million dollar company, Watch Gang. He was a workaholic in the past, which drove him away from family affairs. However, he soon realized that his children were only getting older with time and that day was close by when they would become adults and not need him as much. This forced him to make a conscious effort in maintaining work and family balance.
His troubled childhood made him extra sensitive towards his family, especially his children. He makes sure he spends quality time with them and makes all the efforts to provide them with an amazing life. Having nothing as a child has made him highly ambitious. His business, Watch Gang, is his passion and brainchild. He loves what he does and takes pride in being a mellow and just leader. He knows only he is expected to care the most about his company. He believes all those working for him should have the freedom to enjoy their lives and work should never be the center of anyone’s life.
Matthew does not only balance his business and family life, he is also a philanthropist who supports the community and uses his capabilities, knowledge, and finances to help the weaker elements of society. He has a keen interest in providing solutions for social problems like homelessness, drug abuse, and child poverty. All three remind him of his own life as a child, and today having the power and resources, he believes it is a moral obligation to play his part in building the community.
Apart from that, his watch club continues to create new stories and collections of timepieces that can be passed on from generation to generation.
