Creativity is the fuel of entertainment. Without it, everything begins to stagnate and appear the same from one to the next. One individual who understands this is Ryan Huffman, an award-winning producer and founder of Huffman Creative. His passion for filmmaking and storytelling is at the heart of his company’s ambitions to lead a new wave of creativity in entertainment.
Ryan’s optimistic outlook and enterprising personality have earned him accolades and recognition from his collaborators and peers. His blend of creative vision, productive enthusiasm, and focused drive has supported the production of some of the most ambitious and recognized projects in recent years.
Ryan’s portfolio spans more than 200 projects across seven years, ranging from commercials to music videos and photoshoots for artists, brands, and creative agencies, like Ariana Grande, Netflix, and Nike. His recent music video for Bella Poarch’s platinum single, “Build a B*tch,” has gained more than 500 million views across multiple platforms. Both as an independent and with Huffman Creative, Ryan earned nominations and wins for entertainment awards worldwide, such as the MTV Video Music Awards, Country Music Television Awards, Telly Awards, and Clio Awards.
Aside from his work, Ryan enjoys mentoring young creatives on their path to working in entertainment, especially if that path is unconventional. As an alumnus of Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, he encourages people to explore opportunities and not be clouded by the pursuit of financial gain or mass recognition. Additionally, he teaches that the relentless overflow of content and social media can quickly derail your ability to focus on your path; comparison is the thief of joy and your success, and your best response is found in channeling your own unique perspective and energy into your life and work.
Ryan has built a career by pushing boundaries with his style and passion for storytelling. “Be bold in your ideas,” he says in conversation. “Something will always try to hold you back; whether you fight it or not, it is important to express yourself and create something you believe in. With enthusiasm, imagination, and an unwavering will to go above and beyond, connections can be made, possibilities realized, and your dreams achieved.”
