Life is full of financial, social, family, relationships, or work-related struggles. Overcoming these struggles is never easy, but one’s ability to deal with them defines their success. Author Kendra Conyers shares her life struggles that contributed to her personal development.
Entrepreneurs compare struggles to stepping stones that lead you towards the right pathway in life. A life without struggles is a life not lived in its entirety; Kendra learned this the hard way. Her life story begins with a struggle that cost her life but believes God gave her a second chance. She made a mistake and ended up facing court charges for it; she was charged with 5 felony counts resulting in a 15 year to life prison sentence. After a year and a half of trial then being acquitted of all charges, Kendra vowed to make her life worth living. She studied hard by doing a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Professional Counseling.
Kendra always had a positive outlook in life, despite her hardships. As a young woman, she searched for life’s purpose and career path everywhere. She submitted more than 72 applications in her career field, from acting out in independent films, selling life insurance, selling vacuum cleaners, and promoting vacations packages. No profession fully satisfied her, and in search of jobs, Kendra moved from state to state until she recognized real estate as a profession that defined her.
Her career path in real estate arrived a little later in life, but it made her who she is today. Kendra believes in God, who led her to the path of success and prosperity. Initially, she found it hard to survive in the competitive environment but soon got familiar with the strategies to ace every deal. As a broker, she sold 21 homes in the first eight months and then sold 42 homes in her first full year of real estate. From the termination of contracts to closing 9 homes in a month, Kendra saw all kinds of ups and downs on her way to the top.
