The brains behind the KG brand, which specializes in the hair and beauty industry, is no other but the inspiring Katie Godfrey. She opened up her salon at the age of 19, and since then she has expanded her business to launch a UK-wide beauty training academy, her own range of eyelash products, and a salon coaching business. Katie believes in perfecting everything she does. Thus, whether it’s a product or a service, she never introduces it to the world unless and until she believes in it.
So far, Katie’s work has been published over 50 times in many reputable magazines and has received 15 awards for her performance while also getting the opportunity to judge many industry competitions.
Here are 3 tips by Katie Godfrey on how to succeed in life:
- Consistency
Katie is a huge supporter of forever learning and studying. While she left school at the age of 13 and strived to launch her business with no qualifications, she made efforts every single day to learn and grow her business. And even though her work was mostly based on what her audience wanted, she still spent a great amount of time studying marketing and business. As a result, to this day, Katie continues to work hard to further grow her reach. She says, “I would rather learn by reading, researching, or listening to something than by watching TV.”
- Never give up
While she left school at the age of 13, Katie did not sit empty handed. Instead, she started modeling that eventually built up her confidence to start her business. And even though she had taken loans to launch her salon and was close to bankruptcy, she did not give up. No matter what knockbacks she got, Katie held her head high and kept moving forward. As a result, today she is a successful entrepreneur with multiple businesses that specialize in the hair and beauty industry.
- Motivate others
To Katie, living a successful life is not just about working on yourself, but it also includes helping others achieve what they desire. Since her reach is mostly organic, she strives to fulfill people’s requests. For example, when her followers were admiring her entrepreneurial skills and sought to learn them, Katie launched KG Business Mentor, where she helped other business owners build teams and create freedom within their business. Consequently, by sharing her story, she has not only been able to motivate other people to achieve their goals but was also able to build her brand and provide people with products and services she believes in.
