On his journey to finding a more fulfilling vocation, Nathan Sharma decided to take up the challenge of transforming his family business into a multimillion-dollar corporation. He knew he had a lot riding on this project, however, he did not let his fears kill the dream. He vanquished his imposter syndrome and manifested clarity about his goals and purpose in life.
Soon enough, NIWE Academy was moving forward on a positive trajectory. The academy was offering superlative cosmetology programs to people throughout Canada. The employee base rose from 4 to 30, with the company generating millions in revenue on a yearly basis.
At present, NIWE Academy is providing the highest form of quality education and tools in the beauty industry. It has spent half a million dollars on clinical aesthetic machinery to ensure its team is equipped with the latest technology. “We provide a space where students feel like they can have fun while learning,” stated Nathan. He further added that individuals can join their programs from the comfort of their homes, making NIWE Academy accessible to everyone.
From the very onset of his journey, Nathan knew he wanted to establish a learning system that would cater to the needs of all its students, instead of having a fixed curriculum. Hence, he ensured that all cosmetology programs offered at the academy would consist of differentiated learning strategies that would create a personalized experience for everyone taking them.
Nathan attributes his success in the business world to being disciplined, mindful, and resolute. He believes that one must feed their mind constantly with new innovative ideas that can help take our business to the next level. Secondly, he is of the view that one must not shy away from asking for help. When he planned to upgrade the company’s system and operations, he knew that the task was too demanding to be done alone.
Hence, he sought the guidance of multiple mentors who taught him the cardinal tricks of running a successful business. “I started working with coaches that not only helped point me in the right direction but also guided me about my mental health,” says Nathan.
If it weren’t for Nathan’s ambitious nature and confidence in his abilities, NIWE Academy would not be the successful venture it is today. At present, he is making the most out of his position as the Chief Operating Officer at the company and aims to make it public.
