Born in Ghana, Africa in the Ashanti tribe, Henry Coffie is not only a talented fashion designer and enthusiast but is also a successful entrepreneur. Coming from a third-world country, Henry was not someone who had a lot of resources. He had to work extremely hard and overcome many obstacles and hardships in order to make a name for himself in the competitive fashion industry. Upon completing his high school education from West Africa Sec School (WASS), Henry not only packed his bags but also his dreams and hopes for the future and decided to move to France in search of greener pastures.
Henry’s mother was already living in Paris for more than a decade (15 years to be exact), Xanax Online For Sale and was working there as a hairstylist. Therefore, he started off by helping his mother in the saloon. However, this was not the only job he had while he was in Paris. Henry states that he had to do multiple jobs in order to make it and most of them had nothing to do with the fashion industry. Not only did he work as a hotel receptionist and dishwasher, but he also worked as a dishwasher.
These odd jobs were not the only work experience he had. He also did an internship with Yves Dorsey – a suit store in Paris and was thus introduced to the colorful world of fashion. Moreover, he also worked with a men’s wear store called 3eme Stella Rosso in Paris. These stores enhanced his strong interest in fashion designing and much more. However, it was working with Nicolas Massing London where he was motivated and influenced the most by the exquisite and truly impeccable suits from the collections. These jobs increased his love for fashion even more and made him believe that he could also create such immaculate and timeless pieces of clothing.
Therefore, with the determination to become one of the best fashion designers for menswear, Henry decided to migrate to America in 2017. Moving from one country to another is one thing, but moving from one continent to another is completely different. And Henry had to do it twice. The shift from France to America came with many challenges as he had to start all over in this new country. As a black man in a country full of whites, things did not come easy to him. Moreover, he was also not fully aware of how the fashion industry worked in America. In addition to this, the highly competitive market did not make things easy for him either.
However, due to his immense passion and the dream he carried along with him to become the best designer, Henry was determined to make a name for himself in the fashion industry and started to work towards building his clientele portfolio. In addition to this, he also started to network with local suit designers in Philadelphia to increase his knowledge about the fashion industry in America (specifically in his locale). Henry Coffie did not let any of his hardships bring him down and overcame all obstacles to show the world that he truly is one of the best menswear designers out there.
